About 10 years ago, when I was a student, I did not always have the means to buy the magic things I wanted. Books are expensive, and with most magic books averaging from $35 to $60, with some books even costing upwards of $100 or more, I simply was not able to study everything I wanted in magic.
However, people helped me. Some people let me borrow books from their magic library. Some people would trade books with me, let me buy their books second hand, and some people even gave me books.
Inspired by their generosity and the impact it had on me as a young magician, I want to be able to give back to the magic community by offering to give away a few copies of my new book, SERENDIPITY.
SERENDIPITY is about performing magic outside of formal shows, and it is intended for the advanced and experienced card magician who wants to take their casual performances for a whole new level.
There are a lot of incredibly talented and gifted magicians out there, who for any number of reasons might not be in a position where they can purchase my book right now. I don't want them to miss out, and I want them to have a chance to get it, so here is what I am going to do:
Between now (Tuesday Sept 5th) and Saturday (Sept 9th), I will be accepting submissions for the giveaway per email.
Write a 1000 to 2000 word essay (no more!) where you tell me a little bit about yourself. How old are you, how long have you been doing magic, what sort of material are you studying and working on currently? A little bit about your goals and challenges in magic and what you hope to achieve - and also why you want a copy of SERENDIPITY.
I will read every single essay carefully, then take your reasoning, your passion and your experience into account when choosing the winning essays.
I know magicians really well - so please don't exaggerate and make things up, I will see right through it. Being honest will increase your chances of winning by a lot.
If you have a really good reason and I think it would really help you become a better magician by reading my book, then you will be chosen.
Over the weekend I will choose two winners from all the essays received - and I will contact the winners personally and explain to them my reasoning for choosing them. The winners might be announced here later - if they are okay with that.

The submissions are now closed.
Winners will be announced very shortly, both here and on my Instagram account.
